Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent; and related experience and/or training.
Must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
Frequently push or pull up to 75 pounds of force.
Be able to use stairs

Responsibilities

Work in a safe manner, including the use of all required personal protective equipment as required by plant policy.
Part of a work team and must work closely with other operators, team leader(s), and coordinator(s).
Set up and operate all equipment to safely and efficiently produce a quality compound in the mixing areas of the plant. This includes the installation and removal of proper tooling, placement of proper ingredients in the proper quantities, and the completion of all production and quality reports (paper or computer based).
Control the quality of compounds throughout the production process. Contact Quality Assurance if necessary.
Solve simple mechanical problems, perform basic operator maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment as required.
Drive a fork lift and operate hoists, pumps, valves, and other material handling equipment to move materials to where they are needed while using oldest materials first.
Work successfully in a self-directed team environment. This includes attendance and participation in team meetings, committee meetings, special projects, and task forces as required.
Maintain good hygiene of mixing areas through routine housekeeping and clean-up in the mixing area and in the plant as required.
Cross train on multiple functions within mixing and perform duties as assigned.
Train others within the mixing department and provide training feedback to trainee, team lead, and others as necessary to ensure successful training.
