Mixer Operator (CDL Mixer Driver) – Ready Mix Concrete
About The Position
SRM Concrete is hiring a Mixer Operator to transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential construction sites. The operator represents SRM at job sites by ensuring deliveries are timely and accurate and providing professional customer service. The role includes loading, mixing, and inspecting concrete; conducting vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks; maintaining delivery and vehicle records; coordinating with dispatch and plant teams; and helping with general plant or yard duties as needed. Operators are home after each shift, follow local routes, and do not work Sundays.
Requirements
- Active Class A or Class B CDL.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Proven safe driving record and commitment to safety.
- Strong commitment to customer service and representing SRM’s values.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds, climb ladders or stairs, and work in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Mixer Operator, Ready Mix Driver, or in construction delivery; motivated newcomers willing to learn are also welcome.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a concrete mixer truck with a Class A or Class B CDL to transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
- Load, mix, and inspect concrete to meet specifications and quality standards.
- Provide professional, customer-focused service at job sites and represent SRM Concrete.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks to support vehicle safety and compliance.
- Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records using company systems.
- Coordinate scheduling and routing with dispatch and plant teams.
- Assist with general plant or yard duties as needed.
