Mixer Operator (CDL Mixer Driver) – Ready Mix Concrete
About The Position
SRM Concrete is hiring a Mixer Operator to safely transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential construction sites. The role operates a concrete mixer truck and requires a Class A or Class B CDL. Operators load, mix, and inspect concrete to meet specifications, represent SRM with professionalism, and provide excellent customer service at job sites. The position includes pre- and post-trip inspections, routine vehicle checks, recordkeeping, coordination with dispatch and plant teams, and general plant or yard duties as needed. Operators are home after every shift, work consistent local routes, and do not work Sundays. Requirements
- Active Class A or Class B CDL.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Proven safe driving record and commitment to safety.
- Strong commitment to exceptional customer service and representing SRM's values.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs, climb ladders or stairs, and work in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, “Go-Getter” attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to complete SRM's pre-employment screenings.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Mixer Operator, Ready Mix Driver, or in construction delivery; motivated newcomers willing to learn are also welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Operate a concrete mixer truck using a Class A or Class B CDL to safely transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
- Load, mix, and inspect concrete to meet precise specifications and quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service at job sites and represent SRM Concrete professionally.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records using company systems.
- Coordinate with dispatch and plant teams for efficient scheduling and routing.
- Assist with general plant or yard duties as needed.
