About The Position

Novagard is looking for a Chemical Mixer to work 2nd shift (2:00 pm - 12:00 am, Monday through Thursday). The Mixer Operator coordinates materials needed to prepare daily batch mixes. Completed mixes are stored in totes until packaging of the product is scheduled on the production line.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Read, write and speak English
• High School diploma or GED
• Prior manufacturing experience
• Good math skills
• Good written & verbal communication skills
• Comprehension of written instructions
• Good attention to details

Nice To Haves

• Prior batch mixing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Ability to read and understand basic work order instructions and scheduling
• Understand steps required to complete work orders and label requirements
• Must be able to perform in process testing to ensure material conformance
• Perform visual inspection of all mixing equipment
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on mixing machinery
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to ensure continuous production
• Knowledgeable of at least one type of formulation/mix process independently
• Basic understanding of an ERP system (Netsuite preferred)
