About The Position

Herculite is looking for a Glue Mixer to accurately measure and mix adhesives to ensure quality and consistency in our manufacturing process. A great Glue Mixer is reliable, has strong math skills, and is able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. This position will work independently to manage glue inventory, reference mixing recipes, and keep precise records. Although this is an independent role, being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that high-quality glue mixes will be mixed effectively to maximize our production efficiency and profits and provide continual growth to our associates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, adhesives, or chemical handling preferred.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and read and carry out instructions with little supervision.
• Must possess strong math skills and the ability to accurately measure and mix ingredients.
• Ability to follow precise instructions (recipes) and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must understand inventory processes and recordkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
• Above average verbal communications skills.
• Basic computer skills required; ERP experience preferred.
• Must pass a respiratory test and capable of wearing a respirator while working.
• Forklift experience and certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in manufacturing, adhesives, or chemical handling preferred.
• ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mix chemicals according to established formulas and production requirements.
• Prepare and maintain adhesives used in the manufacturing process to ensure product quality.
• Clean and maintain drums, mixing equipment, and tools to prevent contamination.
• Track and maintain inventory of necessary supplies, reporting shortages and assisting with reordering.
• Keep accurate records of chemical usage, batch mixing, and inventory transactions.
• Empty dumpsters and dispose of waste materials in accordance with company and environmental guidelines.
• Crosstrain as a Lamination Inspector to support production needs when required.
• Certify on and operate a forklift to transport materials safely and efficiently.
• Wear and properly use a respirator as required by safety regulations (must pass a respiratory test).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
• Work independently while ensuring adherence to company procedures and quality standards.
• All other duties as assigned.
