Los Lunas Animal Clinic is seeking a veterinarian to join their team in Los Lunas, New Mexico. Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine (or equivalent certification for international graduates).
  • Active New Mexico veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date.
  • Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE).
  • Commitment to practicing high-quality veterinary medicine.
  • Strong communication and client relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a veterinary healthcare team.
  • Passion for patient care, client service, and professional development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mixed animal, companion animal, large animal, or equine medicine.
  • Interest in surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and preventive care.
  • Experience managing urgent care and same-day cases.

Responsibilities

  • Provide veterinary care for companion animals, horses, and livestock.
  • Perform wellness and preventive care, including vaccinations.
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging and utilize in-house laboratory diagnostics.
  • Perform soft tissue surgery and dentistry.
  • Manage urgent care and same-day appointments.
  • Handle herd health management and reproductive services for livestock.
  • Conduct lameness evaluations and reproductive services for equine.
  • Perform surgical procedures in dedicated equine surgery suite.
  • Engage in client education and consultation.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed.
