Our client is a growing and industry leader in property restoration and reconstruction following fire, water, mold, and other insurance-covered losses. With a reputation for integrity, high-quality workmanship, and exceptional service, the team is dedicated to helping homeowners and property managers navigate some of their most challenging moments. As their office opens, our client is seeking an experienced Mitigation Lead Tech with local restoration experience in the Orange County, CA area. The Mitigation Lead Technician is responsible for performing hands-on restoration work on properties affected by water, fire, mold, or storm damage. This role is ideal for certified technicians who are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and passionate about helping clients recover from property damage.
Requirements
- 1–3 years in the restoration industry with hands-on experience in water, fire, or mold mitigation.
- IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD) and Mold Remediation Contractor from TDLR required.
- Proficiency with restoration equipment and software (e.g., MICA, Xactimate).
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Scoping job site with use of Matterport or DocuSketch
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work in various environmental conditions, and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing, and standing.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Inspect affected properties to determine the scope of damage and develop mitigation strategies.
- Perform water extraction, drying, mold remediation, fire/smoke cleanup, and structural repairs.
- Safely set up and operate specialized restoration equipment, ensuring proper maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, moisture readings, and photos, using industry-standard software.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients during restoration, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
