About The Position

As a Principal Mission Systems Operator (LEAD), you will serve as the foremost expert in mission systems operations, driving the strategic use of advanced sensor systems to fulfill critical mission objectives. You will lead high-level mission planning, complex data analysis, and provide expert guidance in operational execution. Your role will involve significant collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders to enhance mission effectiveness. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study.
  • 8+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Mastery of sensor technologies (RADAR, MX-15).
  • Advanced experience with the practical application of Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Airmanship.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Small Secure Datalink (SSDL) radio functionality.
  • Advanced experience with the practical application of RADAR Theory and MX15HDi camera technology.
  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required.
  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift.
  • Hand and finger dexterity to work with small mechanical components and tools.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Ability to travel frequently to customer locations, sometimes on short notice.
  • Ability to work in a combination of office and field environments.
  • Ability to read detailed technical manuals, schematics, and computer screens.
  • Ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems accurately.
  • Ability to hear and understand spoken communication in noisy environments, such as industrial sites or construction areas.
  • Ability to detect auditory signals from machinery or equipment, which may indicate issues.
  • Ability to navigate various work environments, including climbing ladders, crawling in confined spaces, and working at heights.
  • Ability to drive or operate a vehicle for frequent travel to customer locations.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, including repairs, installations, and maintenance.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Strong awareness of safety protocols and ability to adhere to safety guidelines in potentially hazardous environments.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven track record in leading high-stakes missions.
  • Expert-level certifications in sensor technology operations.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
  • Experience with Windows 10 Falcon View or Force Map technology.
  • Prior experience as a CRM/Organization Resource Management (ORM) instructor.

  • Provide expert analysis and strategic recommendations based on data interpretation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, mentoring senior operators and team leaders.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align mission strategies with organizational goals.
