About The Position

The F-35 Integrated Test Force at Edwards AFB, CA is seeking an experienced Mission Planner to support current mission planning tasking, and to expand the capabilities OMS for F-35 Developmental Test. The selected candidate will also work with Operations Group and IPTs to develop and review mission plans for every flight test event, develop and maintain processes for instance management of drive images across the DT fleet, and support all facets of the Developmental Test engineering cycle for the Mission Planning Environment and OFP release. This includes documenting and driving anomalies to closure via the SPAR process, testing missing planning releases, test SW fixes, and vetting and improving technical data in conjunction with vendor Software and Systems Engineering IPTs. The role also involves assisting in post-mission data processing, establishing relationships and collaboration between United States Government and Contractor entities to ensure Mission Planning Software are released, installed, and tested, obtaining and handling applicable cryptographic information, and reviewing and updating internal and external documentation and instructions to streamline processes and expedite the fielding of effective mission planning software. The candidate will lead engineering efforts (projects, tiger teams, etc.) as assigned by site leadership and travel as required to witness lab testing and support external test or planning events.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated F-35 Mission Planning experience, specifically with MPSE and JMPS
  • Experience handling COMSEC information
  • B.S. in a STEM field from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours, odd/off-shifts and weekends as needed
  • Ability to attain and maintain both Secret collateral and SAP program clearances
  • Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Current Security+ Certification
  • Experience working with contractors and/or customer reps
  • Experience supporting Test Plan Working Groups and other Developmental Test planning events
  • Familiarity with the SPAR process
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
