About The Position

The Mission Control I role at Texas Health Denton is a full-time position focused on supporting hospital operations through patient transport, equipment and supply delivery, and system monitoring. This role contributes to a teamwork environment, offering excellent mentorship, comprehensive training, and opportunities for growth. The position involves ensuring patient care areas are supported with necessary equipment and supplies, acting as a central dispatcher, and monitoring various hospital systems to ensure smooth operations and patient safety.

Requirements

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
  • Ability to make independent decisions while maintaining tact, maturity, and a professional attitude.
  • Excellent verbal communication.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Knowledge of Windows/PC helpful.
  • Proactive problem solving; good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; advanced computer skills; time management.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
  • 6 Months related experience Preferred
  • 6 Months customer service Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Transports patients by the appropriate method to and from all patient care areas.
  • Deliver and pick up patient care equipment, supplies, mail, patient concierge services and other supporting items throughout the hospital.
  • Maintain par levels and cleans equipment in designated areas.
  • Act as central dispatcher for Mission Control department.
  • Monitors systems: RTLS, security cameras, HUGS, fire panel, generator annunciator, medical gas, and other systems associated with patient and materials movement.
  • Secures necessary maintenance and repair of equipment and maintains adequate stock levels of supplies. May assist with inventory and ordering rental equipment, furniture and/or supplies for Mission Control.
  • Adheres to Body Substance Isolation Universal Precaution Policy.
  • Willingly accepts additional duties and tasks assigned by leadership.
  • Assists patients in dressing appropriately for procedures.
  • Deliver patient concierge services.
