About The Position

Patient Engagement Advisors (PEA) is seeking a part-time Mission Control Diet Specialist to work remotely assisting CHN patients in the Indianapolis area. This role involves communicating with patients via phone to help them select menu items during their hospitalization, recognizing high-risk indicators, and encouraging adherence to dietary orders. The specialist will also collaborate with dietitians, nursing staff, food and nutrition services management, and other team members to enhance patient service. This position offers the opportunity to encourage patients to actively participate in their care, work collaboratively within a clinical team, and explore unique career path options for growth and development.

Requirements

High School Education or equivalent preferred
6 months of diet office experience/customer service/call center/patient care technician/ nursing assistant/other healthcare or medical experience required
Ability to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule, including, but not limited to, nights, weekends, and holidays
Intermediate computer skills required.
Ability to type 34-40 wpm
Web-based tools (including, but not limited to, nutrition information systems, and clinical/EMR Systems, Excel)
Must be able to navigate applications on an iPad

Nice To Haves

Hospital Nutrition/Dietary experience preferred
Other related hospital experience or advanced education will be considered
Work from home experience strongly preferred
