The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is seeking two Mission Chaplains/Pastors to join their team. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position. The organization is a private, faith-based entity dedicated to helping individuals overcome homelessness and addiction. The role involves being a spiritual presence, offering compassionate care, biblical teaching, crisis support, and encouragement to those facing homelessness, addiction, poverty, and life transitions. This is not a traditional church pastor role; the focus is on residents in the Lighthouse Recovery Program, Shelter of Hope guests, staff, volunteers, and others connected to the Mission's ministry. The ideal candidate will be biblically grounded, compassionate, emotionally steady, recovery-aware, and capable of shepherding individuals through complex life situations. Key aspects include offering pastoral care without enabling, teaching Scripture clearly, teamwork, and upholding the Mission's Christian identity and values. The role involves working with vulnerable populations including those experiencing homelessness, addiction, trauma, communicable diseases, and mental health challenges, as well as supporting Veterans, Indigenous individuals, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and immigrants.
