About The Position

Verity Integrated Systems is seeking a Mission Assurance Lead to establish and oversee mission assurance, quality, reliability, and compliance activities supporting advanced aerospace and defense programs. This individual will serve as the independent authority responsible for ensuring technical integrity, product quality, risk management, and mission success throughout the program lifecycle. The Mission Assurance Lead will work across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to ensure that systems are developed, integrated, tested, and delivered in accordance with program requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, missile, or space programs.
  • Experience implementing quality and mission assurance processes.
  • Experience leading corrective action and root-cause investigations.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, integration, testing, and verification processes.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Experience supporting missile, hypersonic, space, or flight test programs.
  • Familiarity with reliability engineering, FMEA, FRACAS, and risk management methodologies.
  • Experience working with government customers and major defense contractors.
  • Experience supporting prototype development and flight demonstration programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement mission assurance strategies supporting program execution.
  • Establish and maintain quality management processes and procedures.
  • Lead nonconformance reporting, corrective action, and root-cause investigations.
  • Develop and manage Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS).
  • Conduct risk assessments and support reliability analyses.
  • Review engineering products, manufacturing processes, and integration activities for compliance.
  • Support supplier quality evaluations and oversight activities.
  • Participate in design reviews, test readiness reviews, and flight readiness reviews.
  • Coordinate audits, inspections, and mission assurance assessments.
  • Develop quality metrics and program performance indicators.
  • Interface with government customers, suppliers, and program leadership regarding mission assurance matters.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
