The LSE-Lead Systems Engineer is responsible for technical guidance and mentorship of multi-disciplined engineering teams. The LSE is also one of the senior technical interfaces with internal and external customers, industry partners, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. The Stinger Missile LSE is responsible for supporting the Chief Engineer (CE) in helping define and maintain the appropriate level of technical rigor and coordination across functions and engineering disciplines across the various production and sustainment efforts within the program. The candidate will also need prior multidiscipline engineering knowledge and experience, as well as production experience. The LSE is expected to mentor engineers both technically and with their career. The primary focus of this LSE position will be to make a dated baseline robust and to modern standards. The Missile LSE will need to utilize the team to update specifications, prints and verification plans. They will build and drive the execution plans to close gaps in the technical baseline to ensure program longevity. The plans will include any analyses needed, performance assessments, demonstrations, tests and documentation changes. The role will also involve leading small cross-functional technical teams and to collaborate with CEs, Program Managers, and engineering leadership for any current and upcoming technical projects on multiple All Up Round (AUR) configurations.
