Missile Defense Systems Engineer/Analyst-Entry Level
About The Position
Torch Technologies is seeking a motivated Junior Missile Defense Systems Engineer/Analyst to support Missile Defense System (MDS) assessments in a collaborative, team-based, and mentoring environment. The role supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) by providing modeling, simulation, and evidence-based analysis for MDA Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems. The position is onsite at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, with a Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule and 0–10% travel. Relocation assistance is not available. The position is not contingent upon a contract award.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics.
- 0–5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Experience with computer programming and/or scripting.
- Data analysis experience.
- Understanding of remote sensing concepts and technologies.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform algorithm testing, data generation, modeling, simulation, and analysis in support of MDA initiatives.
- Evaluate radar and electro-optical sensor data fusion methodologies.
- Support single- and multi-sensor tracking and target discrimination algorithm assessments.
- Analyze system-level command and control algorithms and missile defense battle management techniques.
- Support independent assessments of future Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) software builds.
- Present technical findings and analysis to diverse stakeholders.
