About The Position

Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, is hiring a Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract. The role participates in analysis of future Missile Defense System (MDS) architectures and concepts and in modeling and simulation (M&S) tool development to support architecture assessment. The position is based in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

The engineer assesses capability gaps and develops potential architecture solutions, helps plan and conduct analyses, evaluates simulation results, and supports M&S tools tailored to analysis plans. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in missile defense-related work or another complex, large DoD program or project.
• Active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Successfully pass background and drug screening.
• Basic understanding of the current MDS architecture and future concepts.
• Some experience in modeling, assessment, and evaluation of future missile defense architectures.
• Basic skills in interpreting results and presenting findings clearly.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and collaborate with others to achieve objectives.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks by importance and urgency.

Nice To Haves

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with AFSIM or similar MDS simulation tools or frameworks.
• Background in IAMD/Cruise Missile Defense systems.
• Background or experience with space systems.
• Experience defining and using advanced concepts and algorithms for M&S of MDS architectures.
• Experience supporting systems engineering-related architecture design activities.

Responsibilities

• Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats to develop potential architecture solutions that mitigate gaps or improve performance.
• Assist in developing analysis plans, execute MDS simulation tools, post-process and assess analysis results, and prepare architecture analysis briefs and reports.
• Support modeling and simulation efforts by tailoring tools to specific analysis plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
