About The Position
Torch is seeking a motivated Junior Missile Defense Systems Engineer/Analyst to support Missile Defense System (MDS) assessments in a collaborative, team-based and mentoring environment. This role supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) by providing modeling, simulation, and evidence-based analysis for future Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) software builds.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 0–5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD clearance
- Experience with computer programming and/or scripting
- Data analysis experience
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Perform algorithm testing, data generation, modeling, simulation, and analysis in support of MDA initiatives
- Evaluate radar and electro-optical sensor data fusion methodologies
- Support multi-sensor tracking and target discrimination algorithm assessment
- Analyze system-level command and control algorithms and missile defense battle management techniques
- Provide technical support for independent assessments of future C2BMC software builds
- Present technical findings and analysis to diverse stakeholders
