About The Position

Works under general supervision of Manager A while coordinating assignments as they relate to the operation of the CHOICES program. This position is responsible for serving as the program point of contact with program partners, preparing reports, contacting referred individuals, verifying potential enrollees, entering enrollee information, maintaining files, assisting with documentation, coordinating and distributing referrals, filing and maintaining program materials, retrieving documents, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience in an administrative or clerical health care capacity; two of the four years may be substituted with two (2) years of college study (60 semester hours or 72 quarter hours); AND An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of business English and math.
  • Ability to compose general correspondence and write and type documents for a variety of needs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems and exercise good judgement.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public, co-workers, and other departments.
  • Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver's license or secure one upon date of employment.
  • Must have daily access to an operable automobile.
  • Must meet County requirements for automobile insurance upon date of employment.
  • Must pass criminal background check to include: TBI/FBI Criminal, Interstate Compact Offender Tracking System, Tennessee Drug Offender Registry, Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, Tennessee Dept. of Health & Abuse Registry, Tennessee Felony Offender Registry, National Tennessee Sexual Offender Public Registry, and Substantiated Investigations Report Inquiry.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as program point of contact with program partner Managed Care Organizations.
  • Prepares related reports as they relate to the CHOICES program.
  • Contacts persons referred to the program to- obtain the information needed to complete referral for services.
  • Verifies potential enrollees through the Tennessee Anytime website.
  • Enters enrollee information related to departmental programs on Excel spreadsheet for documentation of client record activity.
  • Maintains files of applicants who decline services.
  • Assists with the documentation of CHOICES regional quarterly meetings.
  • Coordinates and distributes referrals to appropriate assessment/service coordination program.
  • Files and maintains program materials.
  • Retrieves documents and distributes telephone voicemail messages to appropriate staff.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
