Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode. Under close supervision assist in the installation, support and maintenance of Information Technology infrastructure, Communications, Mine Fleet and End User Support.
Requirements
- One Year (1) Experience: Mining, Manufacturing, Industrial, Operations, Electronics, Electrical or Instrumentation.
- Demonstrated computational skills
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or GED
- Associates Degree in Information technology or related field
- A+ or Network+ Certification
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation and support of computers, peripheral equipment, and mobile devices.
- Assist with installation and support of networking technologies, including but not limited to Network Switches and Wireless Access Points.
- Assist with installation and support of Mine Fleet on-board IT hardware and 2-way radio systems.
- Assist with installation and support of other IT infrastructure including but not limited to Optical Fiber, Ethernet cabling, Cameras, field devices and Access Control Systems.
- Actively participates in safety and environmental programs and other programs determined by management.
- Perform other duties as required.
