About The Position

Baptist Search Partners is partnering with Frisco First Baptist Church to find their next Minister of LIFEGroups and Men. This role is central to the church's mission of inviting people into relationship with Jesus and each other. The minister will be responsible for growing and expanding the ministry by building leaders, starting new groups, strengthening culture, and creating pathways for growth. The church is a warm, growing, multi-generational church with a discipleship framework focused on belonging, becoming like Jesus, and benefiting others. Current priorities include moving people from attendance to discipleship and service, expanding LIFEGroups, and continuing campus improvements. The staff culture is relational, collaborative, energetic, and committed to a common vision. The best candidate will bring an inclination to Be Real, Bring Life, and Link Arms. This role requires a ministry-based master’s degree and experience growing, leading, and developing Sunday morning on-campus groups. The Minister of LIFEGroups and Men will be responsible for significant disciple-making, managing budgets, and potentially preaching on Sunday mornings. This role reports to the Executive Pastor.

Requirements

  • Ministry-based master’s degree.
  • Experience growing, leading, and developing Sunday morning on-campus groups.
  • Inclination to Be Real (I Peter 3:8).
  • Inclination to Bring Life (Hebrews 10:24-25).
  • Inclination to Link Arms (Ephesians 4:2-3).

Responsibilities

  • Recruit leaders, develop new groups, and administrate meeting times and locations for LIFEGroups.
  • Equip LIFEGroup leaders through curriculum curation, training, and communication.
  • Shepherd the spiritual health of LIFEGroup leaders.
  • Connect new people to LIFEGroups through personal relationships, pipeline development, and events.
  • Develop a strategic vision for the future and new adult discipleship ministry initiatives.
  • Lead a team of three staff including the Minister of Pastoral Care and Senior Adults, Associate Minister, and the Minister to Women and Serve.
  • Communicate regularly with Men's Ministry participants.
  • Lead a ministry rebrand for the Men's Ministry.
  • Plan, communicate, and host quarterly men’s gatherings.
  • Develop and oversee Wednesday and Sunday evening men’s small groups by recruiting and training leaders and providing ongoing communication and support.
  • Meet with men for mentoring and discipleship, including beginning a formal mentoring program.
  • Serve various functions as a staff Minister (visitation, weddings, funerals, pastoral care, etc.).
  • Manage the LIFEGroup and Men’s Ministry budgets.
  • Potentially speak occasionally on Sunday mornings if gifted in preaching.
