About The Position

Riot is seeking a Mining Technician to join its growing Operations Department. This onsite role supports Operations at the Corsicana, Texas facility and is responsible for installing miners and related equipment and maintaining a clean work environment. The position involves installing computer equipment and cabling, using tools and machinery, and performing housekeeping and maintenance tasks in a mining or data center environment. The role may require 12-hour shifts; night shifts receive a $1.00 pay differential.

Requirements

Knowledge of basic tool use, including a multimeter, screwdriver, test light, box cutter, and wire cutters.
Ability to use a pallet jack, or willingness to learn to operate required machinery and equipment.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively in a team environment.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and highly organized approach.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop.
Dexterity and physical ability to squat, stoop, bend, pull, reach above shoulder level, climb stairs and ladders, crawl into tight or awkward spaces, and work at heights up to 20 feet on lifts and ladders.
Ability to work a 12-hour shift.
Ability to climb ladders and access tight or awkward spaces as required.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work onsite in a mining or data center environment, including exposure to heat, noise, and varying temperatures.
Must wear required PPE, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots.

Prior experience installing computer equipment.

Responsibilities

Install computer equipment from start to finish, including unpacking boxes, installing miners, and pulling and installing Cat-5 cables in the appropriate server ports.
Use hand tools to cut foam and install it on racking.
Operate a scissor lift at heights of up to 20 feet to install and maintain miners.
Perform housekeeping tasks, including picking up and disposing of trash, dusting, and sweeping the work area.
Identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.
Follow site safety protocols, wear required PPE, comply with OSHA regulations and internal safety training, and keep work areas clean and unobstructed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
