About The Position

The Mine Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment (mainly bulldozer and excavator) used in construction, maintenance, and excavation. This position will be on site at our facilities located in Texarkana, TX and Shreveport, LA. Interstate Earthworks, LLC is a Wilks Brothers Company. Requirements

Must have at least 3-5 years recent experience in construction as a heavy equipment operator.
Must be experienced bulldozer and excavator operator.
Excavator experience, a must.
Dozer experience, a must.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
Friendly disposition, personable and professional.
Must work independently and as a member of team.
Recognizes confidential information and maintains it in accordance with standard procedures.
Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

Operates heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in excavation and site construction.
Properly follows company safety procedures. Brings problems to the attention of the foreman, superintendent, safety director or HR manager.
Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment.
Candidate will possess knowledge of moisture condition, cut grade, and ability to load trucks.
Candidate will possess knowledge of cutting and filling grade.
