Requirements

Industrial Millwright certificate or qualifications (433A or 426A)
3-4 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility.
Knowledge and experience working with high-speed equipment
Knowledge and experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic components
Read, write and communicate (English)
Proficient mathematical and computer skills
Mechanical aptitude with a good knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods and trade practices
Ability to lift 60lbs and work in a cold environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild a variety of meat processing and packaging equipment including stuffers, smokehouses, chopper machines and high-speed packaging equipment.
Repair and complete preventative maintenance on high-speed processing and packaging equipment including PLC controlled equipment, conveyors, and vacuum pumps.
Inspect and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery as required.
Remove and replace worn or defective parts.
Start machines and equipment to test operation following repairs and maintenance.
Responsible for maintaining food safety standards and report food safety issues to QA immediately.
Work in a safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act by reporting hazards, accidents and incidents.
Follow all prescribed SOPs, HACCP and GMP procedures.
Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
