About The Position

Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a full-time Millwright to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America’s largest retailers. This position reports directly to Inovata Foods’ Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • Completion of WHMIS2015 within the last 3 years.
  • A valid millwright license required, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Experienced in moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of machinery and equipment.
  • Proficiency in welding and use of all mechanical hand tools and power tools.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and JHSC.
  • Basic computer skills and mathematical proficiency.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within food & beverage, pharmaceutical or consumer packaged goods industry preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, installing, testing, and repairing mechanical components and equipment for multi-line production.
  • Optimizing equipment safety and efficiency by participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules.
  • Adhering to all GMPs and HACCP guidelines.
  • Working within all company safety policies and applicable health and safety legislation.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work areas.
  • Promptly reporting equipment failures and breakdowns to lead hands.
  • Evaluating causes for failures and/or breakdowns and suggesting preventive / corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Properly and accurately filling in all related departmental paperwork and documents.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical codes specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance programs and keeping maintenance records.
  • Installing, examining, replacing, or repairing mechanical components with experience in TIG welding, electrical, boilers, and refrigeration compressors.
  • Following all company food safety programs including GMP’s to produce the highest quality product for our customers.
  • Alternating to the Maintenance Millwright is the Maintenance Supervisor a contracted certified millwright.
