About The Position

We are looking for a Millwright to join our team in Rossville! Our Millwright is responsible for managing project installations and supervising contractors! You will be a great fit if you are a friendly and hardworking team player who is eager to take on new challenges! This role is physically demanding as you will be lifting, moving, and handling large parts of equipment for the bulk of your job. However, this gives you the opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive environment where your work has a direct and positive impact on how we function!

Requirements

• Able to lift 23kg
• Problem solver who is able to troubleshoot through issues
• Multitasker who is able to juggle priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Pays extra attention to details and has excellent hand-eye coordination
• Able to make sound and safe judgement
• Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite
• Superb project and time management skills
• Excellent mathematical and mechanical skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility; preferably food manufacturing

Nice To Haves

• Electrical/Power Engineering ticket
• Experience and/or education in lean manufacturing; Six Sigma
• Mechanical Training

Responsibilities

• Manage project installations as directed within the allocated time and budget
• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings
• Operate hoisting/lifting device and operate machine tools as needed
• Install, align, take apart, troubleshoot, and move stationary industrial machinery/mechanical equipment using appropriate tools
• Work with various departments to ensure company, safe work, and SOP’s policies are in effect
• Ensure contractor WCB approvals, plant safety programs orientation and confidentiality statements
