About The Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing assigned mechanic tasks throughout the hospital as well as maintenance duties throughout the hospital facilities, according to policies, procedures, legislated codes and regulations to support a functional, reliable, safe and comfortable health care environment. Attention to detail and commitment to complete tasks while not compromising quality.

Requirements

• Minimum grade 12 education.
• Current Province of Ontario Skilled Millwrighting Trade license and/or equivalent.
• Courses in Refrigeration, HVAC, Electricity, Mechanics and CAD/Blue print reading.
• Ability to make decisions on proper use of material and means of effecting repairs.
• Flexibility to work all shifts on a rotating basis.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Satisfactory attendance and performance record.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an Apprenticeship program preferred.
