About The Position
Gorman Bros. Lumber Ltd., a division of the Gorman Group, is seeking a Millwright to join their maintenance team. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing routine and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of production equipment within the plant. The successful candidate will possess proven mechanical aptitude and skillset, with demonstrated experience in operating machine tools, adjusting machinery, and repairing or replacing defective parts.
Requirements
- Red Seal Certified Millwright
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial or wood products manufacturing environment
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail
- Commitment to working safely coupled with strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Must be flexible in scheduling with ability to work various shifts
- Valid Class 5 drivers’ license
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience is considered an asset
