About The Position

This role is responsible for executing planned and preventative maintenance schedules, troubleshooting and repairing equipment problems using critical thinking, and analyzing blueprints and schematics. The Millwright will demonstrate knowledge in hydraulics, lubrication, and mechanical equipment, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently. They will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, tools, and workstations, improving equipment optimization and reliability, and maintaining detailed logs of labor, materials, and equipment used. Effective communication with team members and management regarding equipment deficiencies is essential. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and participation in various improvement projects like Breakdown Analysis and 5S. Ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations is also a key responsibility, along with performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education; trade school or college preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic required.
  • One year of In Plant Manufacturing Experience.
  • Ability to work Independently and Utilize Critical Problem Solving and Decision-Making skills to Generate and Implement Solutions throughout the Process.
  • Must maintain Compliance within all LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, Working at Heights Policies.
  • OSHA 10 Training and Experience.
  • Experience of MiG and stick welding.
  • Exceptional Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist in all tasks, jobs, and repairs.
  • Ability to work extended hours to includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work at heights in excess of 80 feet, use man lifts, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work outdoors, rotating shifts, and lift 50 pounds required.

Responsibilities

  • Execution of the Planned and Preventative Maintenance schedule.
  • Troubleshooting by Applying Critical Thinking skills to Identify, Diagnose and Repair equipment problems.
  • Analyze and Understand Blueprints, Schematics, Layout plans and other materials.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge and Skills in Hydraulics, Lubrication, and Mechanical equipment; basic understanding of types of lubricants and application of each.
  • Ensure all work is performed in a timely and safe manner.
  • Maintain all equipment, tools, and workstations.
  • Ability to utilize skills to Improve equipment Optimization and Reliability.
  • Maintain logs, and record labor, materials and equipment used.
  • Effectively Communicate to all Team Members and Management any equipment deficiencies.
  • Meticulous Attention to detail; able to follow instruction both written and verbal.
  • Participate in Breakdown Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Focused Improvement, and 5S projects.
  • Ensure workers adhere to Local, State and Federal Codes and Regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
