About The Position

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner is seeking experienced Millwrights to join its team in Knoxville. Industrial experience is needed to succeed in this role. The position involves safely maintaining and moving industrial equipment, interpreting construction-machine plans, and performing rigging, demolition, drilling, welding, bolting, and related work. Pay depends on experience; annual reviews and bonus potential are offered. Military veterans are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience as a Millwright or in a similar position.
High school diploma or GED.
Maintain a drug-free workplace.
Be punctual and reliable.
Work as part of a team.
Work in extreme heat, cold, and bad weather, both indoors and outdoors.
Stand and walk throughout the workday and lift or carry up to 60 pounds.
Work well in confined spaces.
Perform work above the shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, and bending.
Exercise motor control and have good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

Work safely at all times; safety is the company’s top priority.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings for construction machines.
Rig, move, and set equipment, such as HVAC units, using cranes and helicopters.
Perform general maintenance on industrial equipment.
Perform demolition as needed.
Take accurate measurements using precision tools.
Perform drilling, welding, bolting, and other duties as assigned.
