About The Position

Perform diagnostic evaluation on equipment and make repairs when needed. Ensures that repairs are performed in the shortest amount of time possible to alleviate down time.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (accredited) or equivalent
  • 4 years of related experience and/or training, demonstrating the ability to identify and perform repairs that are needed and to assure scheduled production run.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive, corrective and scheduled maintenance on a daily basis on a variety of machinery within the plant.
  • Performs maintenance on bearings, drive chains, and conveyor systems, when needed.
  • Perform light electrical maintenance.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on various hydraulic units located throughout the plant.
  • Perform various fabrications through welding, arc cutting, and plasma cutting, when needed.
  • Perform any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure a safe, clean, healthy and efficient facility and vigorously support Stericycle’s commitment to Safety.
  • Document results through completed work orders based on schedule and priority or as required.
  • Welding (arch and MIG welding), ability to rebuild centrifugal & diaphragm pumps, must know hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Perform other duties & responsibilities, as needed.
