About The Position

Boise Cascade is seeking a qualified millwright to join its maintenance team. The company manufactures wood products and distributes building materials, and describes its employee benefits package as Total Rewards. The successful candidate will follow safe work practices and plant policies and procedures; troubleshoot machinery; perform preventive maintenance; fabricate and modify equipment; and repair or replace power transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic components, and conveyor system components.

Requirements

Have an excellent work and safety record.
Be able to work at heights and in hot, dusty environments.
Be able to work various shifts, including days, swing, and/or graveyard, with daily or weekly overtime as needed.
Be able to understand and enter detailed work orders into a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Have experience with field preparation, including shop math, basic measuring tools, hand tools, torqueing, fasteners, and print reading.
Have experience with assembly and installation, including part assembly, pre-alignment, alignment, belts, chains, fits, and tolerances.
Have experience identifying and controlling failed components, including hydraulic and pneumatic components, pumps, and bearings.
Have experience in fluid power operation and troubleshooting.
Know pumping systems, including process pumps, piping, and packing/sealing systems.
Have experience in rigging and welding.
Be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

Journeyman-level millwright.
Maintenance reliability knowledge.
Computer experience, including Microsoft products.
Familiarity with wood products machinery and equipment.
