About The Position
Interfor is looking for skilled, safety‑focused, and motivated Industrial Millwrights to join our team in Timmins. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our mill running at peak performance by maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing industrial equipment across the operation. This position offers competitive compensation at $42.81 per hour and a Monday to Thursday, nights, afternoons and days rotation with 10-hour shifts.
Requirements
- Red Seal Millwright or Planer Technician certification required
- Strong safety background
- Good technical, problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude
Nice To Haves
- Sawmill/planer experience an asset
Responsibilities
- Repair equipment: conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic components, automated systems, etc. (including welding)
- Identify the cause of machinery breakdowns or malfunctions and do the necessary repairs
- Install/optimize/adjust all the equipment in the mill to maximize its efficiency
- Respond to emergencies when mechanical breakdowns affect operations
- Operate machining tools to manufacture parts
