About The Position

The Millwright plays a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment within manufacturing and production facilities. This position ensures that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. The Millwright will work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform precise alignments, and install new equipment according to technical specifications. Ultimately, the Millwright contributes to the seamless operation of industrial processes by applying expert mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent technical training.
  • Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar mechanical maintenance role.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools is essential for assembling and maintaining complex equipment safely and effectively.
  • Troubleshooting skills allow the Millwright to quickly identify and resolve mechanical issues, minimizing production downtime.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and computerized maintenance systems supports a safe and organized work environment, contributing to overall operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, and align machinery and mechanical equipment according to blueprints, manuals, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using precision measuring instruments and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to plan and execute equipment upgrades and modifications.
  • Adhere strictly to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Operate hand and power tools, hoisting equipment, and precision instruments safely and effectively.
