Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and be able to read and write legibly.
Mechanical aptitude.
Self-motivated and must work well with others as part of the team as well as independently without supervision.
Able to work at a fast pace, stable under pressure and organized, while staying within safety rules and regulations.
Safety, quality, productivity and teamwork oriented.
Willing and flexible to do overtime for coverage even on short notice.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs in a stretching manner.
Position involves lots of physical work including lifting, bending, climbing steps, and standing for extended period of time.
Must have own tools.

Nice To Haves

At least a 2-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance / mechanical Engineering/ related degree or Minimum of 2 years related experience.
Mechanical/Industrial or two years of experience in an industrial environment.
Relevant papermill experience in lieu of direct maintenance experience would be considered.

Responsibilities

Dismantle equipment when required for repair or transportation and reassemble it at the appropriate time.
Read, understand necessary blueprints and schematics.
Comply with other requests from immediate supervisor.
Proficient in the installation, maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting.
Ability to work with operations and maintenance on repairs to equipment that include but are not limited to replacement of mechanical seals, installation and alignment of rotating equipment, repairs to fans and blowers, repairs to reciprocating, centrifugal and screw compressors and pumps, basic knowledge of rigging and flagging.
Participate in team work to do procedures, health and safety work teams, and any other problem-solving projects.

Benefits

Hourly wage of $22.00/hr - $30.00/hr (based on skills, experience and education)
Full-time position with guaranteed hours for job stability
Schedule: Day shift 4/10, weekdays (7:00am - 5:30pm). Must be available for mandatory on-call rotation
