About The Position

Skilled, safety-focused Millwright Mechanic needed to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery. Responsibilities include mechanical assembly, precision alignment, and preventative maintenance to ensure efficient operations. Ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3- 5 years of related Millwrighting experience.
  • Ontario Millwrighting license 433A with industrial experience.
  • Ability to read and discern electrical drawings.
  • Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and active listening.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including “call ins”, to support production demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair an asset.
  • PLC troubleshooting and diagnosing an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully diagnose and resolve mechanical issues on production equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Complete scheduled maintenance tasks accurately and on time to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities for compliance and traceability.
  • Assist in maintaining and repairing building support systems such as HVAC and plumbing.
  • Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are needed.
  • Address and complete service requests efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain clear and respectful communication with supervisor and team, providing regular updates on progress.
  • Consistently work in a safe manner, using appropriate tools and equipment for each task.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures during equipment servicing.
  • Stay current on safety certifications and technical training relevant to the role.
  • Handle and dispose of waste materials according to company and environmental guidelines.
  • Apply welding skills and basic electrical repair knowledge effectively when required.
  • Support departmental performance and plant operations by assisting other departments during peak demand or emergencies.
  • Foster positive relationships with other departments and share technical expertise to improve team efficiency.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
