Overview of the Role: Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Maintenance Millwright, for an existing opportunity within our organization. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for the routine/preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment. Schedule: 9:00pm - 7:00am, Thursday - Sunday (must be available to work days and nights - Flexibility required) Wage: starting at $35.75/hour There are 2 salary increases in the first year of employment, with a target rate of $44.70/hour. Wage offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training. Requirements
- Millwright license
- Proven experience with process equipment in a manufacturing setting.
- Food industry or high speed packaging experience
- Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret Blueprints
- Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills.
- Dependable with a good attendance and safety record in current position.
- Available to work afternoon and night shifts, weekends and overtime as required.
- Available to switch shifts at short notice to replace absent workers
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience is an asset
- Boiler, refrigeration and air handling systems experience is an asset
- Electrical experience is an asset
- PLC training and experience is an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- High level of self-motivation and initiative.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities
- Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
- Trouble shoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations
- Carries out equipment installations and modifications as required
- Repair parts in shop
- Work effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety
- Follow company policies and safety standards
- Works with other trades groups to complete project assignments.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
