About The Position

Requirements

3-5 years of relevant experience in a busy plant environment.
Red Seal Millwright certification.
A strong background in electrical diagnostics and repair.
Working Knowledge of HMI as they relate to processing, filling equipment in a food-manufacturing environment.
Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite.
Excellent mathematical and mechanical skills.
Great interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to lift up to 23kg.
Multitasker who can juggle priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pays extra attention to details and has excellent hand-eye coordination.
Can make sound and safe judgement.
Independent operator that requires minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Fabrication experience is an asset with the ability to TIG weld.
Experience and/or education in lean manufacturing; Six Sigma.
Ability to troubleshoot PLC and program logic.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions.
Operate hoisting/lifting device and operate machine tools as needed.
Install, align, take apart, and move stationary industrial machinery/mechanical equipment using appropriate tools.
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls.
Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation by using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
