About The Position

AKHIRE is currently recruiting a crew of Millwright / Industrial Maintenance Mechanics (skilled trade). Preferably, applicants should also have some mine experience. We work on immovable machinery like crushers and conveyors at mine sites. We go out on contracts that we receive with the mines within the state of Alaska. In most cases, these jobs come with some travel, food and lodging while you are on site at the mine. Most jobs will require overtime work, which will add to your average hourly pay. Some assignments might last for a few days, most can be for weeks and some can turn into long-term placements.

Requirements

• Must be a resident of Alaska or actively planning to relocate to Alaska.
• One year of Millwright / Industrial Mechanic experience on non-movable machinery OR two years welding and fabrication experience.
• MSHA certification required (refresher course available and paid for if expired).
• Skill set certification (may vary from job to job) related to the job.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Must pass a full background check.

Nice To Haves

• Some mine experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
