About The Position

Mid-States Millwright & Builders (MMB) is seeking motivated Millwright I and Millwright II team members to join our growing field operations team. As a Millwright, you'll travel to agricultural, grain handling, food-grade, and ethanol facilities across the country to install, repair, maintain, and upgrade equipment that keeps our customers operating efficiently. Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to safely work at heights of 200+ feet using fall protection
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively on a team
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel for work (20 days on / 5 days off)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in millwright work, industrial construction, or mechanical trades
  • Agricultural, grain handling, food processing, or ethanol industry experience
  • Welding or fabrication experience (or willingness to learn)
  • Experience operating construction equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills

Responsibilities

  • Install grain storage, grain handling, and processing equipment at new and existing facilities.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on agricultural, food-grade, and ethanol processing equipment.
  • Assemble machinery and troubleshoot mechanical issues in the field.
  • Read and follow project plans and installation specifications.
  • Work safely while operating at heights using proper fall protection.
  • Operate or become certified to operate forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other job site equipment.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, Safety, Drafting, and Field Operations teams.
  • Complete assigned work safely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • Participate in weekly toolbox talks and maintain a strong safety culture.
  • Communicate progress and completed work with your crew leader or superintendent.
  • Represent Mid-States professionally while working with customers and subcontractors.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision (Millwright II).
  • Troubleshoot equipment and make field adjustments (Millwright II).
  • Train and mentor Millwright I employees (Millwright II).
  • Assist in leading crews and maintaining project quality (Millwright II).
  • Help ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget (Millwright II).
