About The Position

This is a temporary position for a Millwright/Electric Motor Mechanic in Macon County. The role involves inspecting and repairing various electro-mechanical equipment, with a focus on electric motors. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and disassembling motors, troubleshooting issues, and documenting all work accurately and in a timely manner. Prior mechanical or electrical experience is considered a plus, and knowledge of industrial electro-mechanical systems is highly beneficial.

Requirements

  • 2 years of industrial mechanic, electric motor, or millwright experience required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Physically, workers must be able to: coordinate the movement of eyes, hands and finger, stand on concrete and cat walks for long periods of time.
  • Fully body movement: climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding, stoop, kneel crouch, crawl or work at heights as required
  • lift and carry weighing up to 100 pound.
  • Have basic hand tools

  • Good communication skills with customers and co-workers
  • Ability to adapt to new environments each day
  • High school diploma is required.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, customer security check, E-Verify, Motor Vehicle Record (if applicable), other assessments (if applicable)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior mechanical or electrical experience a plus
  • Knowledge of industrial electro-mechanical systems is very beneficial
  • Basic knowledge of most industrial electro-mechanical equipment
  • Previous experience in an industrial facility or servicing industrial customers
  • Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus
