About The Position

Carpenter who will be responsible for making custom millwork products according to quality and time standards. The projects will include timber products (corbels, gable truss), cabinetry, custom doors, etc. We operate a team atmosphere and are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of basic custom woodworking skills to join our team and continue to grow their skill set.

Requirements

Strong understanding of woodworking materials, joinery techniques, and finishing processes.
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
Must be able to read a tape measure
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to transfer knowledge from one project to another project that involves the same techniques and processes. (i.e. cabinet doors to full door slabs)

Nice To Haves

2+ Years of experience in custom woodworking fabrication preferred
Experience in fabrication of one of the following is preferred – Cabinets, doors, shutters, timber products
Experience with both hand tools and industrial woodworking machinery

Responsibilities

Read and interpret shop drawings and architectural plans.
Set up and operate woodworking machines such as table saws, jointers, planers, shapers, and sanders
Assemble millwork components according to specification and quality standards.
Inspect materials and final products to ensure accuracy and finish quality.
Maintain tools and equipment and ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Performs other duties, as assigned
