Requirements

Has knowledge and skill in production, finishing, and abrasives and tools/equipment selection and use.

Is able to enter data into computer.
Is detail oriented and quality conscious in inspecting parts, identifying unacceptable material, and ensuring finishing results meet company standards.
Has skill in hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Is able to grasp and twist hand and wrists repetitively for extended periods, and do repeated twisting, bending, lifting, and reaching as required during finishing.
Communicate effectively to internal and external customers of the finish room.
Be dependable and display a strong work ethic.
Be able to take direction from Finisher Team members.
Be able to work within a team concept and contribute to a positive work environment.
Work within the company culture.
Demonstrate a professional attitude in approaching job assignments.
Follow procedures in the company handbook and other documents.

Responsibilities

Under the Manager's direction, plans, organizes, prioritizes, directs, and controls the flow of work in the Finishing Department.
Ensures a safe work environment, timely and accurate workflow.
Responsible for process and productivity improvement.
Turn in daily time cards.
Be able to follow procedures.
Help in the maintenance of finishing and sanding equipment.
Be able to learn sanding techniques.
Keep work area clean and dispose of materials in a safe manner.
Attach the proper paperwork to items leaving the finish department.
Other duties that may be assigned on as-needed basis.
