About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Millwork Drafter/Engineer to produce detailed millwork shop drawings, elevations, and construction documents for custom cabinetry and woodworking projects. This role involves close collaboration with designers, project managers, and shop fabricators to ensure accurate translation of design intent into technical drawings. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD software and possess a strong understanding of woodworking principles and standards.

Requirements

Experience in millwork drafting, architectural woodworking, or custom cabinetry design required
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, or similar)
Strong understanding of wood joinery, cabinet construction methods, and millwork standards
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and specifications
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Effective communicator who can work cross-functionally with shop and design teams

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

Produce detailed millwork shop drawings, elevations, and construction documents for custom cabinetry and woodworking projects
Collaborate with designers, project managers, and shop fabricators to translate design intent into accurate technical drawings
Develop and maintain CAD/drafting files for custom millwork, built-ins, and architectural woodworking
Review project specifications, blueprints, and client requirements to ensure drawing accuracy
Perform material takeoffs and assist with estimating lumber, hardware, and component quantities
Identify and resolve design conflicts or constructability issues prior to fabrication
Update and revise drawings based on field conditions, client feedback, or engineering changes
