About The Position

The Milling Operator is responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating a Horizontal Boring Mill; maintaining quality and safety standards; maintaining equipment and supplies. WFI is a drug-free workplace.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plans machining by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, customer specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters.
  • Operates mills by calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
  • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; sharpening and replacing worn tools.
  • Adheres to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Documents actions by completing production.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
