About The Position

As a Kesel Milling Operator, you’ll be part of our Stanley Black & Decker team located in East Longmeadow MA. You’ll get to perform a variety of duties to set up and operate a group of automatic milling / CNC milling machines to mill various types of teeth on several sizes and types of carbon steel and bi-metal backing coil material. This is a demanding, fast-paced position resulting from deadline pressures, simultaneous competing demands, and changing priorities.

Requirements

1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred
Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers
Ability to use numbers including decimals
Light physical effort required, equivalent to lifting, pushing, pulling 5 to 25 pounds
High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties to set up and operate a group of automatic milling / CNC milling machines to mill various types of teeth on several sizes and types of carbon steel and bi-metal backing coil material.
Exacting set ups to close tolerances
Check coils to be milled and coil tag for record of previous operation
Replace cutters after grind
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition
Report any material defects or discrepancies and equipment malfunctions to Supervisor
Responsible for quality of work performed
