The primary purpose of the Machinist is to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to manufacture precision parts. This role requires adherence to Integer Values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements. The Machinist will operate and set up CNC shop equipment with minimal assistance, be accountable for meeting cycle time and yield expectations, and may operate more than one machine simultaneously. Responsibilities include sharpening and changing tooling, making offset adjustments, monitoring equipment, presetting tooling, maintaining tooling, troubleshooting, deburring, buffing, sanding parts, verifying documentation revision levels, completing and verifying all applicable documentation, and visually and/or dimensionally inspecting parts using a microscope and/or completed product for conformance to specifications. The role also involves practicing lean manufacturing principles, performing preventative machine maintenance, expanding skill base through training, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
