About The Position

rms Company, part of the Cretex Medical family of companies, provides contract manufacturing of high-quality, tight-tolerance medical implants, components, and sub-assemblies. The CNC Machinist operates CNC machines to support manufacturing components and devices for the medical device industry. The available schedule is 4th shift, Friday through Sunday, 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. A sign-on bonus of $1,000–$5,000 is available, depending on experience.

Requirements

Operator experience with milling or lathe CNC machines.
Strong math background, preferably machine math or shop math.
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience using a microscope.
Ability to read measurement equipment such as a micrometer, caliper, and pressure micrometer.

Nice To Haves

Machining experience with medical components, devices, or instruments.
Previous experience with tight tolerances.
Programming experience with milling CNC machines.
Set-up experience with milling CNC machines.
Troubleshooting experience with milling CNC machines.

Responsibilities

Operate milling and lathe CNC machines.
Perform quality inspections on completed parts.
Perform preventative maintenance on milling and lathe CNC machines to ensure consistent machine performance.
Complete tool changes.
