About The Position

KMM Group is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist – Mill-Turn (Set Up/Operator) to join our machining team. In this role, you will program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC mill-turn machines to produce high-quality precision components that meet customer specifications. This is a hands-on position ideal for a skilled machinist who thrives in a high-performance, quality-driven manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience (mill-turn environment preferred)
Strong understanding of multi-axis machining and setup techniques
Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens controls
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
High school diploma required
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality (98%+ yield targets)
Problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes
Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team
Focused on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement
US Citizen or have a valid Green Card

Nice To Haves

Experience with equipment such as DMG Mori (NLX, NZX series) preferred
vocational training or apprenticeship preferred

Responsibilities

Set up and operate 2–11 axis CNC mill-turn machines
Program and modify NC code to optimize machining processes
Read and interpret blueprints, routers, and setup documentation
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality standards
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to improve efficiency
Monitor machine performance, including speeds, feeds, and tooling
Accurately report production data (labor, scrap, time, quantities)
Maintain documentation including job folders, inspection sheets, and setup sheets
Support continuous improvement efforts in production efficiency and product quality
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
