About The Position

The Mill Supervisor is responsible for all inventory management including shipping, receiving processes and procedures at the Five Points facility. Position reports directly to the Five Points Operations and Facilities Manager.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of inventory management work experience
  • Must be proficient with computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Business Suite.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Strong communications skills in English
  • Strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred
  • Strong communications skills in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Production Order completion/daily output and consumption for all production areas.
  • Ensures all BSI inventory produced is correct daily, by end of day.
  • Ensures all GMP’s and protocols are being followed within production and shipping/receiving departments.
  • Verify all inventory is acceptable prior to shipping, including quality, packaging specifications and test date.
  • Report lots and locations to CP and Facilities Manager prior to building production order and operations file.
  • Ensure all production lots are correct and complete with lots, quantities, with accountability documentation.
  • Ensure all blends volumes are correct by weight and evenly blended
  • Maintain all bagging operations timely, with proper analysis, and packaging market ready.
  • Monitor all consumables to ensure sufficient inventory as to not delay production.
  • Attend all required staff and/or training meetings as directed by Supervisor
  • Investigate and report all equipment and facility damages to your manager
  • Manage all direct labor in mills, warehouse and housekeeping daily.
  • Develop and train staff, continual training mindset to improve crew understanding and capabilities.
  • Maintaining housekeeping, seed integrity, and Barkley reputation as highest priority.
  • Ensure all support equipment is maintained clean, in a ready state and returned to designated areas when not in use.
  • Report to Supervisor and assist in consistently correcting Policy or Practice deficiencies observed in seasonal and full-time staff.
  • Meet with manager to discuss any needs, problems, and prioritize daily plans/tasks.
  • As primary and in coordination with Sales, CP and Facilities Manger – Determine exception order timing.
  • Perform monthly inventory cycle counts
