About The Position

This position is for the second shift, which runs approximately from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm during the week. The primary duties involve the manufacturing of livestock feed and completing all related paperwork. Additional responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, providing customer service, performing grounds and equipment maintenance, warehouse upkeep, and other related feed production tasks, including forklift operation and grain handling.

Requirements

• Computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Understanding of safe working conditions and operations of vehicles.
• Willingness and ability to work well with others, to take and give constructive criticism, and to lend a helping hand.
• Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.
• Mechanical interest and aptitude are beneficial.
• Driven, organized, and punctual.
• Team oriented.
• Great attention to detail.

• Agriculture background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture livestock feed and complete all related paperwork.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Provide customer service.
• Perform grounds and equipment maintenance.
• Perform warehouse maintenance.
• Operate forklift.
• Handle grain.
• Work independently and efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Assist other mill employees with operating activities.
• Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping.
• Understand feed ingredients and proper handling techniques.
• Accurately distribute feed directly to a feed truck.
• Operate equipment safely.
• Consistently follow all laws, regulations, and safety rules.
• Properly complete necessary paperwork and records.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
